Hearings and Meetings

Picture of City of San Jose Council ChambersVideo recordings of Planning Commission public hearings and audio recordings of Planning Director and Historic Landmarks Commission public hearings are available online. To view or listen to these recordings, click here.

Here you can also view the agendas, synopsis, and schedule of these public hearings, and for your convenience a link is also provided to the City Council Agendas and Synopses Page located on the Office of the City Clerk website.

Information is also available here on upcoming community meetings organized to review individual development proposals.

You may want to call the Planning Division at (408) 535-3555 the week of a public hearing to verify that an item will be heard and is not scheduled for deferral to a later date. To arrange an accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities Act to participate in this public meeting, we ask that you call (408) 535-3555 (VOICE) or (408) 998-5299 (TTY) at least two business days before the meeting.

The Development Services partners (i.e., Planning, Building, Public Works, and Fire) host regular meetings with the following customer groups to discuss operations, performance, fees, and other development-related issues. Click here to be notified by e-mail of upcoming meeting dates and locations.

Roundtable Meetings: the Department hosts several "roundtable meetings" to engage our customers in various issues related to development/land use.
